Gifts for Cockapoo Owners: 14 Ideas They'll Actually Use
If you know a Cockapoo owner, you probably know quite a lot about their Cockapoo too. These sociable, bouncy Cocker Spaniel and Poodle crosses tend to become the centre of the household, so a gift that celebrates the dog almost always goes down well. Here are the ideas we'd suggest: some personalised, some purely practical, all chosen with real Cockapoo life in mind.
A quick note on honesty: Waggle & Ink sells some of the gifts in this guide, and we've linked to them. Everything else is a general idea. Nobody has paid us to mention it. Our products show original breed illustrations with your dog's name, not portraits drawn from a photo. Prices were correct in October 2026.
First, a little about Cockapoos
The Cockapoo is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle (toy, miniature or occasionally standard). That makes it a crossbreed rather than a breed with a Royal Kennel Club standard, which is why Cockapoos vary so much in size, coat and colour. Coats range from loose waves to tight curls. Apricot, cream, black, chocolate and red are common, along with parti and merle patterns.
What most Cockapoos share is a big, people-focused personality. As Dogs Trust puts it, the Cocker Spaniel side is generally energetic, and the Poodle side is clever. That's useful when choosing a gift: think grooming, mud and brain games, plus something that celebrates the dog themselves.
Personalised Cockapoo gifts
1. A personalised Cockapoo mug
A mug gets used every single day, which is why it's such a reliable present. Our personalised dog mug (£17.99) shows our Cockapoo illustration in apricot, black, chocolate or cream, with the dog's name underneath, printed on both sides. Tea by the pint? There's a large 15oz mug. For a pop of colour, the coloured-inside mug comes in black, pink, blue or yellow.
2. A two-dog mug for multi-dog homes
Cockapoo owners are rarely one-dog people for long. The Two-Dog Mug puts any two of our breeds side by side with both names, so the Cockapoo and the Labrador (or the second Cockapoo) both get top billing.
3. A print, framed portrait or canvas
A personalised Cockapoo print in A4 or A3 suits a hallway, kitchen or home office. It arrives unframed and fits a standard high-street frame. For a ready-to-hang gift, the framed 30x40cm portrait comes in a black frame, and the 8x10in canvas is a softer, frameless look. Not sure how to choose? Read how to choose a dog portrait print.
4. A Christmas tree decoration
Our wooden Christmas decoration (£17.99) comes in heart, oval or bell shapes, printed in full colour with the Cockapoo illustration and name. It's a lovely first-Christmas keepsake for a new puppy, and just as nice for the Cockapoo who has had nine Christmases and still eats the wrapping paper.
5. A hoodie or tote for walks
A Dog Mum or Dog Dad hoodie or an organic cotton tote (handy for treats, poo bags and the ball that always comes home muddy) puts the dog's name on something that leaves the house every day.

Practical gifts Cockapoo owners will actually use
6. A grooming voucher
Wavy and curly Cockapoo coats can mat if they're not brushed regularly, and many owners book a professional groom every couple of months. If you don't know which tools suit their dog's coat, a voucher for their usual groomer is the safest bet, and it's genuinely useful.
7. A good comb and slicker brush
If you'd rather give something to unwrap, a metal comb and a slicker brush are the basic kit most groomers suggest for curly coats. Ask the owner (or their groomer) what they already use.
8. A drying coat or towel robe
Cockapoos and mud have a strong relationship, and plenty love a swim. A microfibre drying coat or a dog towel with hand pockets turns the post-walk clean-up from a two-person job into a one-person job. Check the size guide against the dog's back length rather than guessing.
9. Brain games
Bright, busy dogs enjoy working for their food. A snuffle mat, lick mat or beginner puzzle feeder can take the edge off a rainy day. Supervise the first few goes, and choose a sturdy design for a chewer.
10. A training class or activity voucher
Many Cockapoos love learning. A voucher for a local training class, scentwork session or fun agility taster is a gift for the dog and the owner. Look for trainers who use reward-based methods.
11. A washable bed cover or car seat cover
Unglamorous? Yes. Appreciated after every wet walk? Absolutely. Measure the bed or car seat first.
12. Treats they're allowed
A bag of the dog's usual treats, or a treat pouch for training, is a kind and easy gift. Check first if the dog has allergies or a sensitive tummy, as many Cockapoo owners are careful about food.
13. A day out together
A dog-friendly café voucher, a pub lunch after a new walk, or a night in a dog-friendly cottage gives the owner a memory as well as a present.
14. A donation in the dog's name
For the owner who has everything, a donation to a dog charity such as Dogs Trust, Blue Cross or a local rescue, made in their Cockapoo's name, is a gift that goes a long way.

Which Cockapoo colour should I choose?
Our Cockapoo comes in four coats. Apricot is our warm golden-orange and suits most apricot and red dogs. Cream covers pale, champagne and "white" Cockapoos. Black and chocolate are solid colours. For parti, merle or sable dogs, pick the colour that covers most of the face and ears. Our Breed Guide has more help, and you can always email us a photo.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Cockapoo portrait drawn from my photo?
No. It's our own Cockapoo illustration in the coat colour you choose, with your dog's name. If you're not sure which colour is closest, email us a photo and we'll suggest one.
My Cockapoo is parti or merle. Which coat should I pick?
Choose the colour that covers most of your dog's face and ears. Our portraits don't show individual markings, which keeps them clean and consistent.
How long can the name be?
Up to 14 characters, including spaces. Letters, accented letters, spaces, hyphens, apostrophes, ampersands and full stops can all be printed.
What is a good Christmas gift for a Cockapoo owner?
A personalised wooden decoration or mug is a lovely small gift. For practical presents, a grooming voucher, drying coat or puzzle feeder will get plenty of use.
Can personalised gifts be returned?
Personalised items can't be returned for a change of mind, but if anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, we'll replace or refund it.
